JCP&L lighting incentives for qualified equipment will remain available at higher prescriptive rates through December 2026 under the Energy Solutions for Business Program’s Limited Time Offer.

For facilities, operations, and energy leaders, the extension provides additional time to identify qualifying maintenance needs, coordinate purchases, and plan lighting work across existing commercial and industrial buildings in New Jersey.

What Does the JCP&L Lighting Incentive Cover?

JCP&L’s Energy Solutions for Business Program provides instant discounts on specific, pre-qualified lighting and HVAC products purchased from participating distributors. For lighting projects, the offering is intended for smaller maintenance needs in existing buildings.

The equipment may be installed by the customer, an internal facilities or maintenance team, or a contractor. The program is open to JCP&L business customers of all sizes, subject to the program’s product and site requirements.

The current Limited Time Offer provides higher prescriptive incentive rates. That offer has now been extended through December 2026.

How the Instant Discount Process Works

Unlike an incentive that requires customers to submit an application and wait for reimbursement, this program applies the incentive through the participating distributor.

A contractor or customer purchases a qualifying, pre-approved product at a discounted price. At the time of purchase, the distributor will need:

  • The address of the building where the equipment will be installed
  • The customer’s name
  • The JCP&L account number
  • The building type

No separate incentive application is required. The participating distributor is then reimbursed by the program.

This structure may reduce administrative work for facilities and operations teams managing smaller lighting replacements or maintenance-driven upgrades. It can also make the incentive visible at the point of purchase, supporting more direct project-cost planning.

Why the Extension Matters for 2026 Planning

The December 2026 extension creates a longer window for organizations to review lighting maintenance schedules and identify qualifying equipment needs. Facilities leaders can consider the incentive when planning replacements, while operations teams can coordinate product selection and installation timing with internal staff or contractors.

Energy and sustainability managers may also use the extended timeline to align smaller lighting projects with broader efficiency plans. For organizations managing multiple buildings, the added time may support a more orderly review of potential projects across eligible JCP&L accounts.

Although no incentive changes have been signaled through the end of 2026, organizations should not assume that every product or project qualifies. Product eligibility, distributor participation, and installation-site information should be confirmed before purchasing.

Existing Buildings Only

The instant discount offering applies only to existing buildings. It is not available for new-construction projects.

Organizations planning lighting for a new building should consult the New Jersey Clean Energy program regarding incentives that may be available for new construction.

With the Limited Time Offer now extended, JCP&L business customers have greater visibility for maintenance-oriented lighting planning through December 2026. Program terms may change, so project teams should continue verifying current requirements as purchasing decisions are made.
